Kachitagari TV - May 19, 2015; Topanga Charity Cup 5 announced!

Kachitagari TV featuring Bonchan, Kazunoko, Fuudo. Weekly fighting game show stream from Topanga TV channel on every Tuesday 9:00 PM JST (GMT +9).

This week team Topanga will attend Stunfest 2015 so no Topanga TV in for this week. Tokido and Mago will join this episode. Topanga Charity Cup 5 will take place on July 4, 2015.

- Daigo Umehara now has defended 2 major tournaments of SFIV series. He won EVO 2009 & 2010, and now Topanga World League 1 & 2. Other players who had defended SFIV major once are Tokido (WGC 2011 & 2012), and Kazunoko (Tougeki 2011 & 2012).

- This year Topanga World League format has changed to First-to 5 instead of First-to 7 due to the total amount of competitors increased (from 8 to 9), and there's no deuce.

- There's few games forced to stop in the middle like Poongko vs. Luffy, and Sako vs. Momochi because of the... console error? The match has to be reset regardless of who is leading.

- Daigo, Sako, and Bonchan did not use their sub-character (Daigo Yun, Sako Evil Ryu, Bonchan Ryu).

- Poongko = The most successful raw ultra (most of them are Seth U1 on fireball), the most perfect round, the most stun player.

Tokaigi 2015 a.k.a. Game Party Japan will be held on Jan 31 - Feb 1, 2015. There will be an Ultra Street Fighter IV Topanga special exhibition match on Day 2 (Feb 1) featuring 16 top players in Japan, and they will play in 2 on 2 team format, teammate is random (probably draw on the spot).

- Daigo sets new record in A League online rounds with Win:10 Lose:1, the highest record was Wao and Haitani with Win:9 Lose:2.

- Wao and Haitani did not participate in this season.

- Players with same score will their determine ranking by head-to-head result, if that couldn't determine will go to GD score (Game Differential). So Sako is ranked No. 3 with better GD score although Bonchan beat him since Uryo beat Bonchan and Sako beat Uryo.

- New characters
The "low-tier" characters like Rolento (played by Nemo) and Elena (played by Sako) shown their great potential of winning. Perhaps competitors still not quite understand the match up even some the top players in Topanga League.

- Online matches
Some of the matches seem not stable like showing "waiting for other player" message pop up during the fight especially the games with Santarou, EX Pugera, Sasaki, also occasionally happens in Tokido, Nemo, and others game too.

- Most players registered their sub character, but only Sako and Uryo did pick their subs (Sako Ibuki, Uryo C. Viper).

- Most successful random ultra - Nemo
In the entire A/B League, his done many wake up ultra (Take No Prisoners) that did work and some times used it for anti-air as well.

- Actually there's lot of good players entered the B League qualifier, you can check out their name in the end of this video. Notable players: Pepeday, Shiro, Juso, MDR, Sekiganryu, Cojiro, Inco, Fenrir, Pikagoma, Hameo, Jeppa, Lepus, Tsuna, Uriajjo, Kindo, and many more.

Topanga League 4 - A League qualification result and finalists

Topanga League 4B is finished, Tokido and Ninomae got 5th & 6th place in the final result and they gonna move on to the qualification playoff in a 4-player league with Fuudo and Dashio to compete two remaining seeds in A League.

For this round they have to play FT-7 games against each other (deuce if the score is 6-6, and max to 10) and top 2 of this league will advance. Character selections as below.

Topanga League 4 - B League is an online tournament featuring 16 players in the league in Japan, top 4 players will be promoted to A League and 5th - 6th players will play through a FT7 4-man round robin play-off against Fuudo and Dashio, top 2 of them will go A Leauge. Ultra Street Fighter IV online tournament on this Saturday Sep 6, scheduled at 2:00 PM for the 1st round and 4:30 PM for the 2nd round JST (GMT +9). The max 64 players online tournament will be streaming from Nico Live organized by Topanga.

All games before top 4 will be single match elimination. Top 4 will be 2/3 set and top 2 will be 3/5 set. Changing character is not allowed.

New Topanga League season has been announced in Topanga TV (Apr 2, 2014) by Nyanshi, the Topanga World League. The 8 men competition scheduled on Apr 10 - 13, 2014, using title is Super Street Fighter IV: AE v2012.

Which was the best Japan's event(s) in 2013?

Event's summary below:

Daigo Umehara Battle Tour 2013
Umehara X Taito Station charity event. Daigo takes on challengers in several cities Taito Station (arcade center), and he also filmed total five bonus videos featuring Bonchan and Oshino in various funny activities and selling it at Taito Channel for charity purpose (the bonus videos are free now). Some notable players also pop up in the arcade event such as Michael Tan, Sekiganryu, Dogura, KojiKOG, Bonchan (the event host), and more.

Mix Up Night series
A small event in Osaka with big names. Mix Up Nights will select different fighting games as their competition title in different season. Players like Sako, Haitani, Uryo, -6, KojiKOG, Dogura often show up at Mix Up Night especially when SSFIV:AE v2012 is up on the stage. Check out MUN #08, MUN #12, MUN #13.

Yubiken Championship series
Qualifying through online tournaments, the qualified players will go Yubiken studio and battling for the championship title in league format on the finals day. The player who finished on top will take on the defending champion. All seasons were streamed at Yubiken channel.

STARTING OVER series
Check out the official site for every events by Kagecchi. For SSFIV:AE mostly would be done in arcade, team tournament and single elimination. Many notable Japanese players did made appearance in STARTING OVER's events, Ganoon and Maan from Kuwait's White Tower also visited STARTING OVER as well.

Chokaigi 2
A grand event in Makuhari Messe convention center, Japan. On the FTG stage show has invited all SF star players like Daigo, Sako, Tokido, Mago, Haitani, Fuudo, Nuki, R for the dream team match. There's also Vampire Savior exhibition games and qualifier for Topanga Asia League the fight was between Bonchan and Uryo.

GodsGarden Gate
There's an Outer Gate which finished in online tournament, and Inner Gate finished in offline matches. The top 3 players in Outer Gate got the prizes, and top 8 players in the Outer Gate would compete once again in Inner Gate for bigger prize. But the Inner Gate competition was streamed with pay per view channel, and so far no score statistics for the Inner Gate have been revealed.

Topanga League series
This year Topanga League invited oversea players for the first time, the Topanga Asia League finished in a short period with lot of excited matches between Daigo, Sako, Fuudo, Bonchan, Xiao Hai, PoongKO, Xian, Gamerbee. Late of the year, Topanga League 3 season begins, players has show a lot of new tactics as well as the strength of rare characters like Oni and Ken.

Topanga Charity Cup 3
SSFIV:AE v2012 5 on 5 charity tournament, single elimination. This year, Justin Wong, PR Balrog, and Ricky Ortiz representing Team EG joined the tournament with Momochi and Choco Blanka. Many other Japanese players that didn't show up often in tournaments also came to this event such as Shiro, Neurosis, Nuki, MOV, Kindevu, Juso, and more.

Mad Catz Unveiled - TGS 2013
Before Tokyo Game Show public days, Mad Catz managed a series of matches between top players with the main event of FT10 Daigo vs. Infiltration (see all matches here). And then the exhibition matches between players of Team Mad Catz and other challengers. There's also a Capcom Cup qualifier in the final day.
